May 2024 Event

The Fail to Scale: Navigating Pivots and Growth, Insights from Scaleups and Investors on Transforming Setbacks into Success which will be held in May 2024 is open to all startups and scaleups in Sydney. This event aims to not only connect founders with investors, and experts but also to hear from different key players and disruptors in the fast-growing industry. It will also provide a platform for startups to showcase their scale-up stories and what has worked for them in growing their startup within today’s industry.

April 2024 Event

In the panel discussion, we will explore how mastering the art of pitching your MVP can serve as a catalyst for driving sustainable growth. The panel will delve into the strategies, insights, and best practices for leveraging your MVP pitch to fuel rapid and sustainable growth. The primary objective of this panel is to empower attendees with a comprehensive grasp of how to strategically position and articulate their MVP to investors, customers, and stakeholders, aiming for exponential growth.

February 2024 Event

Startup&Angels hosted Startup Innovation in 2024: Unveiling the New Year First Wave of Startup & Investor Trends & Forecast for 2024 event in Sydney on Wednesday, 28th of February 2024. The event endeavours to provide the opportunity for entrepreneurs to pitch their business models to a live audience and give them a chance to expand their business by connecting with game-changers in the startup community. There will also be scale-up success stories and live panel discussions with industry experts and investors which will help founders gain invaluable insight.

November 2023 Event

In introducing this concise one-minute pitch format, our aim was to extend the opportunity for more startup founders to present their ideas before investors. Out of the ten founders who pitched, one was honored with an award. The chosen winner has been granted a scholarship for the Startup&Angels new program, crafted to aid founders in advancing their concepts. To discover more about this program, click here.

Following the pitches, engaging panel discussions featuring industry experts and investors provided invaluable insights for founders embarking on the startup journey. These discussions delved into strategies for identifying and validating innovative ideas with the potential to disrupt markets and generate genuine value.

September 2023 Event

Scaling Innovations was a success! Attendees were able to listen to 2 fantastic pitches of innovative startups: LinkaX and Deputy and had the opportunity to gain valuable insights from two game-changing scaleups, PlanPay and Vitable.

But that wasn’t the end of it! The panel discussion, moderated by Matteo Bianchi and featuring Sam Bricknell, Lynda Coker GAICD, Richard Webb, and Annie Liao, shared their knowledge to assist attendees in scaling effectively and avoiding potential obstacles.

August 2023 Event

From Setback to Comeback was a success! Attendees were able to listen to 4 fantastic pitches of innovative startups: Freeguides, Marqoola, Foboh and Imersian.

The evening was filled with an enriching panel discussion. Investors and experts share their advice to bounce back from a failure and prepare a business for any potential future challenges. We had the opportunity to listen to: Evelyn Zhang, James Frank, Kieran O’Neill and Klaus Bartosch thanks to our incredible moderator Shivani Gopal.

June 2022 Event

The goal was not only to connect founders with investors, and experts but also to hear from different key players and disruptors in the fast-growing industry. This event’s theme revolved around “Scaling for Growth,” offering startup founders a range of tools to accelerate their growth across multiple areas, including finance, technology, and human resources.

March 2023 Event

Startup&Angels hosted its second event in Sydney, with the aim of supporting entrepreneurs seeking to accelerate their businesses, network with prominent figures, and join the ranks of the startup community’s game-changers.

The Pitch to Rise – An Angel Investors Night was opened to all Australian start-ups. The core aim of the event was to bridge the gap between entrepreneurs and angel investors, allowing for valuable connections to be formed. Additionally, it presented a unique chance to expand founders’ knowledge through fundraising success stories and to delve into diverse funding avenues such as venture capital, angel investments, and other sources.

February 2023 Event

The Startup Pitch & Expert event endeavors to provide the opportunity for entrepreneurs to pitch their business models to a live audience as well as give them a chance to expand their business by connecting with game-changers in the startup community. There was a live panel discussion with industry experts which helped founders gain invaluable insight. 

December 2022 Event

This festive season, Startup&Angels in collaboration with The Community Collective is hosting a Special Edition: Christmas Party 2022 to celebrate the successes of our amazing startups, scale-ups and stakeholders and we would love for you to be a part of this merry occasion!

November 2022 Event

Startup&Angels hosted its first in-person event in collaboration with Aussie Angels in Sydney on Tuesday, 29th November 2022, intending to support entrepreneurs who desire to expand their business and connect with key players and disruptors in the startup community. With live pitches, ample networking opportunities, and such, the event had a massive turnout of 100+ attendees, making it a grand success.

September 2022 Event

In September 2022, S/A will host our event in Sydney to support entrepreneurs who desire to expand their business and connect with key players and disruptors in the startup community. Four to five startup founders will engage in a live pitch round of around five minutes each followed by a panel of investors and expert solution providers.

May 2021 Event

The 19th edition of Startup&Angels Sydney event series was delivered in the format of a Pitch and Networking Night on the 13th of May 2021, with the focus on one of the most visible trends in the startup world – Social Entrepreneurship and Impact Investing. More than 80 virtual and in-person attendees joined the event, most of whom are startup enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, business leaders and investors.

December 2021 Event

Startup&Angels is glad to invite you to its 18th edition in Sydney, on Wednesday, 2nd of December 2020 from 5.30 pm to 9 pm (AEST) at Fishburners, Sydney Startup Hub, Level 2/3 11-31 York St, Sydney NSW. You can also join the conversation from anywhere in the world as we will be broadcasting the event live and recording it for those who cannot follow the event live.
